No big story about a specific time hearing this song. Just came to mind when I thought about music from college. A dear friend at Oberlin made me a mixed CD that I listened to a lot (and that was recently stolen from my car – frowny face). This song was on it and for a long time I didn’t know who sang it – it was before the days when you’d look things up online every time you didn’t know something! Listening to it again now, I love the piano and her voice and the simplicity of the sound combined with the complexity and vast range of emotions. College was definitely a time of complex and strong emotions! Oberlin was also steeped in Counting Crows for me but not any specific song.
