“Blue Monday” by New Order

I bought the Substance record from a local record shop and immediately fell in love with the album but most specifically, this song. It’s been about 30(!!) years, and I still feel like this is the perfect song. It completely reflects being a child of the 80’s, the beats make you want to dance and the lyrics are just dark enough for the perpetual teenager in me. It’s perfection! I have heard this song well over a thousand times, and when the short, “radio” friendly version plays, I am always disappointed.
