Assignment 10: The Influencers

Name: Kristen

Place: Los Angeles

Your relationship to music: audiophile

Industry: Make it Happener at a local museum and creator of this blog

I am one of those annoying people who sings along to every, and I mean every, song that comes on the radio or TV soundtrack. Music is how I remember things and there are a lot of memories I have tied to music. Music is my solace when I want to focus, get out emotions I feel when I do not have the words for them, and when I want to shut out the world. Music is my protector when I am walking down the street alone and don’t want to be bothered. I can just shake my headphone cords and shrug.

“I can’t hear you.”

I can hear what you are saying by-the-way and, no, I am not interested.

Like my previous contributors, music is my escape, my way of bringing people together, my choose-your-own-adventure, and my home.

My theme for this project is Influencers. Music that influenced my future music taste, how I thought about the world, how I dressed, music that reminded me of people who influenced me, and influenced how I felt about love.

Also, I never thought about who should interview me. Feel free to ask me questions throughout this week either by using the comments section or emailing me at 5songpjct@gmail.com.
